My name is Davey Winder and I have a mental health problem. For the past two years I have suffered from a chronic pain condition that has no cure. Perhaps unsurprisingly, then, I have also suffered from depression, which has been treated both by medication and primary psychiatric care. I mention all of this not for the sympathy vote, but rather to demonstrate that our mental health is not something that we should be embarrassed by, be ashamed of, hide away from or not mention to anyone for fear of rejection or belittlement.
