PRICE £155 (£186 inc VAT) from printerbase.co.uk It’s hard to get excited about a mono laser printer, but Canon’s i-Sensys LBP243dw gives you more reason than most. Inside its compact and unremarkable shell lurks a truly capable printer that’s extremely well suited to busy small and micro businesses. For the money, the LBP243dw offers a reasonable specification. It combines a 250-sheet cassette with a 100-page multipurpose (MP) feed, making it more flexible than cheaper laser printers with only a single-sheet MP slot. Duplex printing is standard, as is support for Wi-Fi networks. It’s also good to see a gigabit Ethernet port, although for printers we’re not convinced it offers much advantage over Fast Ethernet (100Mbits/sec).
