An “ultra” phone in all but name, this is an excellent alternative to Apple’s and Samsung’s flagships

PRICE £874 (£1,049 inc VAT) from oppostore.co.uk Owned by the same firm as OnePlus, Oppo isn’t a huge name in the UK, but the Find X8 Pro demands attention with a big, bright display, four rear cameras, a huge battery and a surprisingly reasonable price. That’s not to say it’s cheap. At £1,049 inc VAT we’re in premium territory, but that includes 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, which is more than you’ll find on rival phones in this price range. Two colour options are offered: sensible Space Black and the more characterful Pearl White, which has a unique texture on every handset.
