Minor upgrades add up to a big improvement, with a boost in performance and a brighter screen

PRICE £158 (£190 inc VAT) from amazon.co.uk The new Amazon Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition (SE) has three clear advantages over the plain £160 Paperwhite, which has also just been updated. First, it comes with 32GB of storage rather than 16GB. Second, it supports wireless charging. And third, you aren’t hit by any ads (the ad-free Paperwhite costs £170). Add an auto-adjusting front light and there really is no good reason to consider the Paperwhite, other than Amazon often slashes its price in flash sales. You also benefit from a metallic finish to the paint, with three options available: black, green and pink. I far prefer this look to the basic matte finish you’ll find on the plain Paperwhite.
