Genuinely useful AI tools make this update difficult to resist, even if the price diminishes its appeal

PRICE 16GB, £317 (£380 inc VAT) from amazon.co.uk We need to address the obvious: the Amazon Kindle Scribe now costs more than an iPad. It’s also almost twice the price of the original 2022 Scribe, which starts at £235. But don’t turn the page on this note-taking wonder just yet, because there are genuinely strong reasons to buy it. It’s not just a little better than its predecessor, it’s a whole new level of better. This is no longer a big e-reader with doodling features tucked away. This is a fully fledged writing tablet, and it does some things better than any other writing tablet I’ve seen. So what has Amazon improved? Is it thinner and lighter? Nope. Bigger screen? By a decimal point. Oh, it must be in colour…
