Is that the final Trump of doom I hear?

What could possibly be convincing the once liberal owners of big tech, and now multi-billionaires, to switch their allegiance to the new president?

I’ve been writing this column for 30 years, during most of which I’ve kept my political opinions out of it, apart from the occasional nod and wink about my lack of faith in free-market dogmas. However, there are, very occasionally, historic events of such importance that to avoid mentioning them would be a sign of cowardice. The last such event was the destruction of the World Trade Center on 11 September 2001, and I did permit myself a column on that.
