Land of open glory FromSoftware applies its world design to a realm of vast scale Exploration has always been a part of FromSoftware’s games, but Elden Ring puts pushing toward the horizon at the front and centre of its design. Like most of the studio’s games, Elden Ring’s key areas are guarded by brutally tough bosses. But Elden Ring doesn’t expect you to beat them through pure skill or grinding attrition. Instead, the emphasis is on tracking down the tools that will help you overcome the challenge and gradually accrue power.
