Dorsing with oil pastels

Using oil pastels to colour on parchment is an alternative to colouring with blendable pencils. The colour is spread with a blending agent such as Zest-It, small amounts of white spirit or even essential oils. Usually this is done on the reverse of the parchment. The aim is to achieve colour without streaks.

Designed by Judith Maslen You will need Your basic tool kit plus: Shallow perforate Attach the parchment over the pattern and trace the whole design with white pencil. Use the Semi-circle tool around the inner and outer frames.
