On Target Africa talks to Richie Young about his amazing journey from shooting a .22 LR at five-years-old to owning his own business and his achievements in the USA.

Q: Richie, how did you first get into shooting, and what sparked your passion for Extreme Long-Range (ELR) competitions? A: I grew up in a rural area where hunting was part of life and a necessity for my family to put food on the table. By the age of five, I was shooting a .22 LR, learning military shooting techniques from my late father, who was an army veteran. He instilled in me a sense of discipline and precision, even with the limited resources we had. Q: How did you get into ELR? A: I was invited to Moccasin Valley Precision for a match. I brought a Light Gun in a 7-300 Norma Improved and got a rude awakening that I did not have the skill set at those distances.…
