SAPRF PR22 National at Atlantis

They say that there are only two things in life that you can be sure of, namely death and taxes. Well, living in the Western Cape you can also rest assured that the wind will blow. With this certainty in mind, I designed the SAPRF PR22 National at Atlantis on 25 May to have slightly larger gongs sizes. These were still on the small size compared to what we have been used to shooting in our provincial and club matches. My rationale was that when the wind picked up, it would make the competition very challenging.

The fourth thing that seems to be a certainty is that Murphy will always throw a spanner into the works. So it was that as the shooters started arriving at the range, it was probably the most wind still day that we had experienced in six months.
