The 2025 ELR sports-shooting calendar began on a record-breaking note on 18 January 2025, with Charl Gous from Send IT ELR Shooting achieving a direct hit on the 4 060 m target. This milestone occurred during the first of five Send IT 2-Mile Challenge events, culminating in the finals on 15 November 2025 at the renowned Matroos bergstasie Skietklub near De Doorns, Western Cape. The event’s two challenging targets, set at 3 761 m and 4 060 m, allow shooters only five attempts per target after the main competition match. From the hundreds of images captured and casual live recordings, the camaraderie among this group of skilled shooters is evident.
