The Open Day at the Cape Practical Pistol Club (CPPC) was held on 15 December at the CPPC range, with entrance off the M3 on Philip Kgosana Drive, previously known as De Waal Drive. The CPPC is one of the oldest marksman clubs in Cape Town and hosts IPSC-style matches. Several larger accredited ranges also host Open Days throughout the year to attract new sports shooters legally into the sport and to raise funds for the clubs. The 2025 IPSC Handgun World Shoot XX jubilee will take place at the Frontier Shooting Range in Matlosana, South Africa, from 11 to 18 September 2025.
