The Xtreme Steel Shooting Association of Namibia (XSSNA) mainly follows the approach of pushing the limits of centrefire rifles, below .338 calibre, at varying distances up to 1 600 m in competitive team format. Rimfire long-range shooting (.22 ELR) was incorporated as a sub-division from this year. The goal of .22 ELR is to create a more inclusive and affordable environment to draw as many shooters as possible with the aim of creating awareness and forming interest in the sport of long-range shooting, especially among the youth and junior shooters.
