SEASON STARTS!

As always, the place to be the last weekend in January is the Somerset Vintage and Classic Show held at the beleaguered Bath & West Showground, just outside Shepton Mallet, Somerset. While there were high winds in many places of the UK, for a change the south west got away with it. In fact the build up day had brilliant sunny weather. It was not so warm over the weekend but it stayed dry. There was a huge crowd, but, in my opinion, the catering let the event badly down. The stationary engine selection on show unfortunately gets smaller each year, which is such a pity, as there is plenty of room for them all inside.
