Slow start proves too much to overcome

AS Wests Tigers poured through the Panthers’ defence like it was a soggy paper bag in the early minutes of the Magic Round clash at Suncorp Stadium, fans of the club were dumbstruck. How could it ever have come to this? How can we possibly recover? By the end of that game the Panthers appeared to be in utter disarray. A season that began with hopes of a top four finish now lay in tatters after seven losses from their opening nine games. It was the lowest of lows for a club that had been building towards success over a long period.
