Out of exile, into Parra-dise

A BREATH of fresh air swept through Parramatta in 2019 as the Eels made their much-anticipated move to a sparkling new stadium and a handful of new faces left an indelible mark on the club and its devoted fans. Back in Parramatta for the first time since 2016, the Eels were like kids with a new toy at Bankwest Stadium, especially on opening day when they blitzed the Tigers with an avalanche of tries. Bankwest’s accentuated acoustics lifted the Eels to great heights, especially on the big occasions when the crowd topped 20,000 and the home fans roared their encouragement.
