UNEARTHING positives from a Titans season that spiraled to record depths in 2019 is like dredging Sydney Harbour to find a speck of gold dust. It was a wretched year for the club, one which yielded the fewest wins and the fewest tries; resulted in the longest losing streak in the club’s 13 seasons in the NRL and produced the club’s worst defensive record. The results precipitated the departure of coach Garth Brennan, whose contract was terminated less than two years after his appointment following a mid-season review of the football department.
