GAME 1: NSW 14, QUEENSLAND 4 Blues battle back for another title NEW South Wales fought back from a half-time deficit to beat Queensland 14-4 to retain the women’s State of Origin shield. In front of a crowd of 10,515 at North Sydney Oval, the Blues were outplayed in the first half but came storming back in the final 30 minutes, with star five-eighth Kirra Dibb putting on a show. The home side scored three tries to one to ensure the shield remained south of the border. The Maroons held a 4-0 at the break with back-rower Tazmin Gray scoring the lone try of the first half.
