THE Cowboys ensured their giant-killing run would continue all the way to the premiership decider after sweeping aside the Sydney Roosters in a high-quality preliminary final. Wearing the underdogs tag yet again, the Cowboys led narrowly at half-time but were forced to come from behind twice during the second half to win the game. Halfback Michael Morgan continued his remarkable late-season form to provide the inspiration for the win with several plays that underlined his status as the form player in the competition.
