RAIDERS 32, RABBITOHS 18 GREEN MACHINE KEEP FINALS HOPES ALIVE DESPITE having three players suspended, Canberra proved far too strong for South Sydney as they kept alive their hopes of playing in the finals with a comprehensive win at ANZ Stadium. Josh Papalii, Jordan Rapana and Sia Soliola were all sidelined following on-field indiscretions but they were barely missed. The Raiders clicked into gear from the outset, charging to a 20-6 lead by half-time and 32-12 before Alex Johnston scored a late fourpointer for the Rabbitohs from a Bryson Goodwin kick. With their right-side attack weakened, the Raiders turned to their under-rated left side, where captain Jarrod Croker, rookie winger Nick Cotric and fullback Jack Wighton caused constant headaches for the Rabbitohs’ defence with their pace and skill.
