The Dragons had been in freefall after winning just three of their previous 10 games and hopes of a top eight finish were fading by the week. They started as underdogs against the Sea Eagles but by halftime they led 30-0 and had Manly seemingly at their mercy. St George Illawarra’s forwards reasserted the dominance that had powered the club to the top of the table earlier in the season.
