PANTHERS 34, WARRIORS 22 CLEARY THE KING AS PANTHERS HUNT FINALS PRODIGIOUS halfback Nathan Cleary scored a hat-trick of tries to guide the Panthers to a victory over the Warriors, lifting them to within one win of the top eight. The match hung in the balance until the 19-year-old stepped up to score two tries in seven minutes. Cleary had a huge hand in the victory, playing a role in three tries, scoring three himself and adding five goals for a personal haul of 22 points. The Panthers overcame multiple setbacks to claim victory; losing Moylan late in the preparation with a hamstring injury and Trent Merrin after 26 minutes with a damaged knee, and also having Corey Harawira-Naera controversially sent to the sin-bin after half-time.
