The Eels survived a late fightback by the Bulldogs, who rallied from a 12-2 deficit to score two secondhalf tries and draw level with 10 minutes remaining. Parramatta made light work of the overtime period, benefitting from a penalty (their first since the first half of the game) before halfback Mitch Moses potted the winning field goal.
