ROOSTERS 13, DRAGONS 12 PEARCE MAKES HIS POINT IN THRILLER SYDNEY Roosters halfback Mitchell Pearce emerged the hero of a classic Anzac Day showdown with the Dragons when he scored a crucial try and nailed the match-winning field goal in golden point. Pearce’s one-pointer broke a six-year long field goal drought for the much-maligned Roosters’ playmaker and came after his second-half try handed his team the lead for the first time in the game. Named winner of the Ashton-Collier Spirit of Anzac Medal as man of the match, Pearce went a long way towards regaining the New South Wales No.7 jersey on the strength of his performance.
