Premiership defence proves too big a task

CO-OWNER Russell Crowe described Sam Burgess’s return to the Rabbitohs as a Christmas present for supporters and it’s almost impossible to characterise it in any other way. After a disappointing finish to their premiership defence, South Sydney were facing an uphill battle to recapture the spark that carried the club to glory in 2014.
