IT IS PRETTY evident that barn finds are all the rage at the moment. Indeed, our Barn Find of the Century cover story made Octane 140 one of our best-selling issues yet. The fact that the car featured was the ex-Alain Delon Ferrari 250GT SWB California Spider from the Baillon collection undoubtedly helped. So what do we have here? A uniquely original 1928 Bentley 4½ Litre with Victor Broom Drophead coachwork, one of only eight built in this configuration and the only known survivor. Sporting this eye-catching Art Deco two-seater coachwork with a mother-in-law seat at the rear, on a standard 10ft 10in chassis (number UK3282), the attractive Bentley was sold new by Henlys Ltd of Portland Street, London. And today, believe it or not, it remains in its original, untouched…
