OVER THE YEARS, I have tried my hand at countless motor sport disciplines with varying degrees of success. I enjoy trying new things and, as such, I was delighted to accept an offer to participate in the Classic Lostalgia meeting at Shelsley Walsh back in July. The organisers have been trying to get me to attend for the past three years, but diary conflicts kept getting in the way. This time around, there were no such issues. I should point out that I had some prior hillclimbing experience, but I’m not sure if the Goodwood Festival of Speed really counts.
