11-12 JULY Droitwich, Worcs, UK THE RETURN OF motor sport to Chateau Impney in Worcestershire a er a gap of 48 years was hailed as a success by drivers, spectators and all involved. Organised by the newly formed Chateau Impney Hill Climb Club – aided by the Hagley & District Light Car Club, which has run events at Curborough and Loton Park for many years – on a course twice the length of its predecessor, there were, naturally, a few teething troubles. Heavy showers on the Sunday didn’t help either. But the hotel facilities at the location were used to excellent effect, giving drivers their own space in which to dry off, eat and relax between runs, not to mention a gala dinner, disco and casino to while away the Saturday evening.
