We need a revelation to reckon with what has happened and is still happening. We’re in denial, with too many of us unwilling to see that “we’re in this together” is not just a catchphrase. It’s reality. We’re not only longing for the normal that was—we’re grieving losses yet unaddressed and ignoring some of the most obvious.
