Like most Kiwi blokes his age, Ross Jenkins grew up idolizing Aussie muscle, and Chrysler was his marque of choice — a choice that fit perfectly with his first job after leaving school in 1980, at the local Chrysler dealership. Buying his first Valiant Pacer at the age of 18, from Howarth Motors in Te Awamutu, he kept the Pacer for 13 years — while following his chosen career path of engineering — but, as most will understand, sold it to purchase property.
