As we reported last issue, the P&I Pascoe–sponsored Statesman was freighted to Aussie to have its Hemi engine conversion completed and compete at the Winternationals. Thanks to ET Chassis and Race Cars and the Bray family, the car made it to the track in time for testing days ahead of the event, but, sadly, the team experienced teething issues. Come qualifying day, things didn’t go completely as planned, but Trev carded a new PB of 6.23s at 218mph with a couple of pedals and an early shut-off, showing that the switch has been worthwhile.
