1. How do you think the speed of change is impacting your business and/or career? I have been self-employed for a little over three years, having been a senior manager in large organisations over many years. I work as a consultant in the management and HR arena. Changes to OHS and other employment related legislation, employment contracts; negotiations with trade unions particularly around CEAs as opposed to IEAs are generating work. So it’s not the pace of change that is impacting, rather it’s the type of changes. 2. What do you do either professionally or personally to stay focussed? Professionally for me it’s about staying up to date with changes like the ones mentioned. I also serve on a couple of boards requiring differing management skills and styles.
