These are such great places to begin teaching kids to hunt and fish and share the skills required to put meat on the table. I believe hunting and fishing has taught my children patience in life and respect for the outdoors. Mistakes were made before we got meat on the ground. Weather conditions were a major factor, ranging from being caught out in fog, in heavy rain, and in near-snow conditions to getting the wind in the wrong direction and blowing our cover. However things changed when I missed a good stag. Three very disappointed kids gave me an earful all the way home, even saying that they could do better.
