High-protein oat bars with almond butter & sage
Makes: 16 Prep + cook: 20 mins + setting Ingredients • 1 cup brown rice syrup • 1 sage leaf • 1 cup smooth almond butter • 1 tbsp vanilla extract • 1 tbsp sea salt flakes (or 2 tsp fine sea salt) • 3 cups rolled oats • ½ cup sunflower seeds • ½ cup pumpkin seeds • 1 tbsp chia seeds • ½ cup currants • ⅔ cup protein powder of your choice Method 1. Grease a 20cm x 30cm baking pan. 2. Place the rice syrup in a small saucepan over medium heat. Take it off the heat just as it starts to boil. Stir in the sage and leave to infuse for 10 mins. 3.
