In many ways, my mum and I couldn’t be more different. She thinks “dick” and “shut up” are swear words, while I’ve got a mouth on me like a sailor with Tourette’s. She claims to have only been drunk twice in her life, while I’ve got hammered, sobered up and then got smashed again all in the same 24 hours... more than once. Basically, she’s a classy AF lady and I’m a monster. However, we do look alike. When the NW-ettes saw my parents’ wedding photos, they were convinced it was just me in a bridal gown and an authentic ’70s-style wig getting married. We’re also the best travel buddies – Mum’s happy to let me make all the plans and never complains when I march her across a desert…
