The 34-year-old Hollyoaks actress recently revealed she and businessman Ollie will be welcoming a baby boy in December, and she can barely contain her excitement about his impending arrival, openly admitting she’d like him to be a mummy’s boy!
“There won’t be competition on who he loves the most, but I’ll be saying, ‘Love me!” she says, laughing.
It’s no surprise that Jorgie is so thrilled about becoming a mum, given what she went through last year. The former I’m A Celeb star tragically miscarried quadruplets last August when she was 14 weeks pregnant and she was very open about the devastating effect it had on her.
“It didn’t make sense,” she said at the time. “I’d not had any sign that things weren’t okay. No pain or bleeding, I was getting bigger, my boobs were growing, I had so much hair on my body and I still felt pregnant.”
But while she’s – for the most part – enjoying this pregnancy, she does admit that it’s not without its challenges.
“I’m not able to sit down or stand up, and I have lightning pains flashing through my body. But you get used to it and know it will end at some point. It will all be worth it. I can’t wait!”
In addition to the physical side effects, Jorgie says her pregnancy has had an impact on her mood and admits she was a “total bitch” in the first trimester!
Here, the star opens up about her mood swings, why she’s putting her wedding plans on hold and who she’d love to see head back into the jungle for I’m A Celebrity: All Stars….
Hi Jorgie! How is your pregnancy going?
Really good! I’ve got a big belly, but I think it’s because I’m so little. Nobody tells you about the size of babies. I’m waddling around like a little hippo!
Have you struggled with any aspect of the pregnancy?
I think it’s safe to say that in the first trimester I was quite moody. When I say quite moody, I mean a total bitch. I was so ratty and angry and just not myself in any way. I was getting irritated by every little thing. I thought, “Why do women go through this?” There were other times when I was suspiciously happy. I was like, “Oh my God, I’m having the best time!”
Are you excited to be having a boy?
I was happy either way. I’m just so excited to be having a baby. It’s so nice to be able to say it. I kept slipping up at work. I’d say, “he... them,” and people just pretended they didn’t hear me. I’m excited for boy stuff and whatever comes with it. I’ve heard that boys are mummy’s boys, but he’s going to have a great dad too.
How is the wedding planning coming along?
Oh God, Ollie’s like, “I can’t even see this happening right now.” I wasn’t really a good planner anyway, so when we knew the baby was coming it was put straight on the back burner. To plan having breakfast or a day out is bad enough, so a wedding was just too much for me.
