It felt like the world was in collective mourning following the shock death last Wednesday, 16 October, of One Direction's Liam Payne at just 31, after a fatal fall from a third-floor balcony at a Buenos Aires hotel.
But for Cheryl, 41, the pain will surely be more acute, as she tries to find a way to move forward from the heartache of losing both the man she once loved, and the father of their seven-year-old child who has, overnight, been left without a father.
