In the teaser, we see nothing but sand and sea behind the former This Morning star, who explained with a serious expression, "I've been cast away on a desert island, completely on my own. All I have is camera gear, and I can say whatever I want, about whatever I want." The star admitted he was filming the new show "secretly" before Channel 5's big trailer reveal, joking on his social media, "Now you know how I spent my summer." It sees the 62-year-old stranded on a tropical island off Madagascar for 10 days.

It's believed he will reflect on the events of the past two years in detail - events which at the time he admitted in a raw TV interview had left him contemplating suicide, as he confessed, "I've lost everything." It all adds up to quite an explosive return from the showbiz wilderness and could be very revealing indeed, if what Phil teases in the trailer makes good on its promise.
And, given the former golden boy of ITV's tumultuous journey since he disappeared off our screens, he could have rather a lot to get off his chest. This included his role as an ambassador for The Prince's Trust, hosting Dancing On Ice with his former best friend Holly Willoughby and being replaced as host of The British Soap Awards. But, 16 months on from his shock downfall, it seems the shamed star could be ready for redemption and a dramatic return to TV. Some may find it is time for forgiveness and a second chance, while others may believe his TV career should be over.
"It's important to note that while Phil didn't technically do anything illegal, he did make unwise moral choices that led to him leaving his job and being dropped by his talent agents." In the trailer, Phillip is seen walking across a deserted beach wearing a white shirt, shorts and a hat, with captions along the video reading, "One celebrity.

On a desert island. Totally alone. With one chance to finally tell his story." And fans were justifiably excited. One wrote, "Phillip Schofield... Good for him!" A second penned, "Excited!" And among the hundreds of people who liked it, were Phillip's former This Morning colleagues Josie Gibson and Dermot O'Leary.
Prior to the news going public, Phillip posted on his own social media with a cryptic comment, saying, "Watch this space," accompanied by a winking emoji, teasing that the news would emerge at 9am on 25 September.
It's telling, says Lynn, that Phillip chose this kind of stripped-back show to make his big comeback. "He could have set a price to appear on reality shows such as I'm A Celeb or Big Brother to revitalise his career. But instead, he's chosen to pre...
