Five years since one of reality TV’s hottest couples, Sam Thompson and Zara McDermott went public with their romance, they appear as smitten as ever.
The pair, who live together in west London, are the proud parents of two cats and could be set for their next big milestone, according to a source.
Sharing that Sam is hoping to pop the question to his long-term girlfriend soon, our source said the ex-Made In Chelsea star will be getting down on one knee within a matter of months. “Insiders say Sam is very close to proposing to Zara and think he will do it by the summer. They talk about getting married all the time and what their wedding would be like,” they explained.

“They’re torn over having a traditional English wedding or doing something abroad somewhere like Ibiza and just having all their friends and family out there for a few days. They both love a party and want to be able to celebrate in style.”
The couple began dating after former Love Island star Zara messaged Sam via Instagram in 2019, but they hit a bump in the road a year later when Zara admitted to being unfaithful, leading to a temporary split.
After a public apology from Zara and some soul-searching conversations, which were aired on Made In Chelsea, the pair managed to get back on track and seem to have gone from strength to strength ever since.
Speaking earlier this year about where he and Zara are at with marriage talk, Sam revealed, “We speak about marriage a lot, but there’s no pressure to put a ring on it.”
The couple have just returned from a trip to Ibiza with Sam’s best mate, former TOWIE regular Pete Wicks. While they were there, the trio recorded an Ibiza Special episode of Sam and Pete’s popular podcast, Staying Relevant.
Whether they were to exchange vows on Ibiza or somewhere closer to home, Sam and Zara would be surrounded by their nearest and dearest. The source said that Sam’s sister Louise would be involved, as well as Pete.
