Josie confesses ‘I still love my ex'

Josie confesses ‘I still love my ex'
Josie Gibson might have split up with ex-boyfriend Terry almost 18 months ago, but the TV favourite has revealed she’s moved him back into her home amid the coronavirus pandemic – and they’re getting on better than ever!
Josie, who has 21-month-old son Reggie with Terry, previously revealed she was scared and struggling while looking after the tot on her own at the start of the national lockdown.
Speaking exclusively to new, Josie, 35, has now explained that she and her ex, who usually share custody of Reggie, were faced with a huge dilemma over how to co-parent during the crisis.
“Because Terry’s got asthma, he’s got problems breathing at the best of times,” she says. “I was like, ‘Oh my God, if you get this, you’re one of the vulnerable ones.’

“We were having conversations where I was saying, ‘I don’t want to kill you.’ When you’re speaking like that with the father of your son, it sort of hit home.”
After isolating separately due to Terry’s condition, Josie asked him if he wanted to move back into her Bristol home.
“Terry did a month in isolation with no symptoms and I did a month with Reg with no symptoms,” she explains. “After that we had to see each other to hand over Reg and his stuff, and I didn’t want to keep taking Reg to the supermarket, so I said to Terry, ‘You may as well move in.’ So we started living together.
“Even though I find it hard to live with him, I’ve realised I can’t really live without him. I do really love him, but he’s just hard work. To see him play with Reg the way they do, it’s so gorgeous, it’s worth the hard work.
“It’s only taken a year and a half and a pandemic, but I’ve finally forgiven him!”
The pair called time on their romance in January last year after a series of bust-ups, which Josie now realises were petty.
“We had a great big falling out because he’s got OCD and I had too many shoes in the hallway,” Josie explains. “But now when people are struggling to breathe, you just think, ‘What a stupid thing to argue about!’”

The This Morning presenter also says she initially felt unsupported by Terry when Reggie was a newborn.
“He was not good when Reg was a baby and he’ll admit it himself,” Josie says. “He really wanted a baby, but I felt like he’d led me up the path and wasn’t being how I thought he was going to be. But then Reg turned one and it’s totally different – they’re obsessed with each other now. It’s so lovely to see.”
Josie even admits to new she feels a bit left out by Terry and Reggie’s growing bond.
“I feel like I’ve done all the hard work and he’s swooped on in,” she jokes...
