It can’t be easy being Lisa Armstrong at the moment. Not only does she have to watch her ex start a new life with someone else, but it’s all happening in the public eye.
The 47-year-old former popstar, who is now head of make-up and hair on Strictly Come Dancing, has done well to move on following her divorce from Ant McPartlin – but it seems she can’t escape reminders of the past, as stories about her former relationship with the TV presenter continue to circulate.
For a bit of escapism, Lisa usually heads to Los Angeles, a place she has gravitated towards when she has been through challenging times – including a fire at her former marital home. And now there’s talk that a permanent move to LA could be on the cards for Lisa.

“She’s been thinking about making some drastic changes – and LA is a great option for her,” a source told new. “This is a very tough time for her. This time last year she was in a committed relationship [with electrician James Green] and very happy. Thankfully, she’s got a lot of friends and family who are very supportive, as well as Hurley.”
Lisa posted a cryptic late night message on her Instagram Stories earlier this month of a pink background, with a heart in the middle, seemingly reshared from Britney Spears’ account.
Some hours later again, Lisa posted a drawing of her dog Hurley – the labrador she shares with Ant through a joint custody agreement. A caption alongside it read, “Thank you for being my dog, someone to do life with, and above all, thank you for being my best friend.”
If it is all proving too much and Lisa were to move to the States, it seems she’d have a ready-made support system there. “Thankfully Lisa’s best friend Craig [Craig Robert Young, who was also a member of Deuce] lives out in LA and has told her she is welcome to stay with him if she needs to get away from it all. It’s an open invitation,” said our source.
“She’s quite flexible with her work as her main gig is Strictly and that doesn’t start until September. Lisa loves going to LA, it’s her favourite place to escape to. She enjoys being in the sunshine and just feeling she’s not being judged as nobody knows who she is out there. She can get on with her everyday life and nobody has really heard of Ant and Dec in America. The only issue she has is Hurley and leaving him, but she can easily work that out.”
