Olivia Bowen is truly feeling the festive spirit this year. The former Love Island star is enjoying some early Christmas magic when we catch up with her as she hits the ice-skating rink at Hyde Park Winter Wonderland in London. The mum-of-one is also looking forward to a trip to Lapland with her husband Alex, 33, and two-year-old son Abel.
“I’m so excited for Christmas!” the 30-year-old tells us at the W7 Cosmetics private Christmas party.
“Abel ‘gets’ Christmas this year for the first year. So we’re just trying to implement all of our little traditions and he understands what’s happening, so it just feels more magical. And it’s our first Christmas in our new house, so we’ve got loads of decorations and we’re hosting.”
As well as her Yuletide plans, Liv reveals she and Alex are trying for another baby and how her nephew’s recent arrival got her feeling broody. However, she adds that two kids is her limit!

Hi, Olivia! Merry Christmas! Are you nervous about hosting this year?
I love hosting – it’s my favourite thing. I’ve hosted Christmas for the last five years. I love cooking, so it’s pretty exciting. We’ve got a girls’ Christmas next week and I have all the girls over. We call it “Girlsmas” and we have that every year. I always host that as well, so I just can’t wait.
Tell us about your traditions…
We go to the same place every year to get a Christmas tree, which is right by our old house in the country, it’s really cute. We always pick little decorations and we’re going to Lapland, which I’m so excited about. I’ve never been, but I’m so excited. We also go to this miniature railway train and Abel loves that.

Is Abel really excited?
He’s like, “Oh, my God! Oh, my God! This is the best thing ever.” He’s so excited and we’ve also got Jackson, who is my brother’s little boy and he’s going to be six months old. So, the family’s getting bigger, which is really nice. We’ve got them over and he’s got people to play with. It’s just nice him becoming more knowing and into his own little personality. You can have a laugh with him now.
Does seeing your nephew make you broody?
Yes! It so does. Me and Al really do want another child, but I guess it’s just when it happens… We are trying for one, but I don’t want to put too much pressure on why it’s not happening or when it will. But ...
