DESPERATE DAD MARK CONTINUES HIS MISSION TO FIND HIS LOST DAUGHTER

New Idea MISSING PERSONS CAMPAIGN Not a day goes by that Mark Wearne doesn’t think about his daughter Belinda Peisley. The pessimist in Mark says that his daughter was murdered in 1998 aged 19. But there’s another part of him that still holds hope he’ll find answers about Belinda’s whereabouts and what happened to her 24 years ago. “There are times I get very cynical,” Mark, 69, tells New Idea. “But I’ll always keep searching for answers – someone has to.” The last confirmed sighting of Belinda was at 8:50pm on September 26, 1998. Police had brought her to the emergency department from her nearby home in Katoomba in New South Wales’ Blue Mountains. Reports suggest a nurse triaged Belinda, noting that she seemed agitated and had a laceration…
