David McCone is an ambassador for the probiotic goodness of fermented and pickled foods. Building on the success of The Naples Canning Co., which he launched in 2019, McCone recently opened The Farm Stand, a gourmet food store on Bonita Beach Road. “I wanted to have retail distribution,” he explains, “but since I use local, organic, and small-batch products, I realized I wasn’t going to be stocked in supermarkets and big-box stores. I needed to branch out on my own.” At The Farm Stand, McCone carries his popular jams, jellies, and pickles sourced from produce at Inyoni Organic Farm in Naples and 12 Seasons Farm in Fort Myers.
