The Naples Senior Center eagerly anticipates the completion of its new permanent home by the end of this year. Construction began on the 30,000-square-foot building located on 14 acres in North Naples last November.
A Topping Off Celebration in early June brought donors together to sign their names on the plywood wall behind what will become the donor-recognition wall. Donors enjoyed a guided tour of the first floor of the new building, which will house a series of meeting rooms, an art room, library, main reception area, and offices.
To generate the funds needed to secure the land, construct the building, and meet necessary equipment requirements, a capital campaign was launched in 2019. Local philanthropists Patty and Jay Baker committed $5 million toward the project. This lead gift placed it on a…
