Si bien Mazatlán tiene infinidad de atractivos, el mayor de ellos son sus 20 kilómetros de soleadas playas con suave arena, acariciada por las cálidas aguas del Pacífico norte y el Mar de Cortés. Si se trata de relajarse tendido bajo los rayos del sol o de caminar disfrutando de la brisa y el paisaje marino, Playa Norte, Playa Gaviotas y Playa El Camarón son las idóneas. Si el plan es practicar algún deporte acuático, como el surf, Playa Olas Altas, Playa Pinitos y Playa Brujas son las elecciones perfectas. Aunque si lo que se busca es un oasis de tranquilidad, las playas semivírgenes de las Tres Islas (Lobos, Pájaros y Venados) y la Isla de Piedra son excelentes opciones.
