At the risk of this sounding like an unsolicited testimonial, let me start off by saying that the Saab 900 Turbo is one of the few cars I've driven lately that I seriously wish I owned. For the record, I favor performance over luxury. I don't have anything against comfort, mind you, but the idea of trading off driveability for opulence always struck me as the wrong way to go. The fact that this Turbo manages to combine the best of both worlds into one vehicle is the primary reason why I found it so enjoyable. Being a hardcore auto racing enthusiast, I must admit that before driving it I was probably more taken with the Saab's turbo mystique than anything.
