So there we were, not-so-fresh off the plane from the United States, jet-lagged, tired, and with the sure and certain knowledge that our abilities were blurred by too many time zones in too little time, at the wheel of the new Acura Legend hurtling at 130 mph around the outer reaches of Honda’s Tochigi test track. After just a lap or two, it struck me that most buyers of the soon-to-be-introduced Legend will never experience their vehicle performing at anywhere near that speed, nor at anywhere near its other impressively high limits, and that left me a little sad.
