ON THE BRINK In any other year, the biggest motorcycle news stories come from EICMA, the most important motorcycle show in the world, where manufacturers work all year to show off what’s new and what is planned for future models. But this year the biggest news came from KTM, just a few short weeks after EICMA. It seems the KTM bubble has burst, and the company is on the brink of bankruptcy. KTM is a standout in the motorcycle world. In 1992, the company had 160 employees and produced 6,000 motorcycles annually.
