RIDING IN INDIA: TRUST AND TEAMWORK

I just returned from my second coaching stint with California Superbike School (CSS) in India and have been reflecting on the trust and teamwork involved in coaching at foreign schools. It works like this: A group of hand-selected coaches from around the world arrives in a new country with very little time to acclimate to the time, food, heat, and humidity. We must come together as a tight-knit team built on absolute trust and perform our duties as if we have worked together many times before. It’s a unique and daunting experience to step off a long-haul flight, jet-lagged and sleep-deprived, and dive headfirst into coaching amidst the chaos of a bustling country like India.
